Bedrooms In A Rainbow Of Colors. What Mood Are You In?

The color of our rooms affects our lives every day.  It influences our mood and thoughts.
While I prefer to keep my bedroom simple, serene and neutral, others prefer to douse their bedroom in their favorite color.  From blue to orange and in a myriad of other colors, these bedrooms are drenched in color.  Whether bold or soft, glossy or matte, these colors delight the senses with charismatic impact.

What is your favorite color to use when designing a bedroom?

Vivid blue covers these bedrooms walls creating an intimate chic feel.  A floral screen softens the impact. While blue is said to have a relaxing effect, the deep blue covering these bedroom walls has a striking impact and lacks timidity.

Lavendar brings a restful quality to bedrooms, without the risk of feeling chilly.  It is chic and stylish when paired with dashes of camel brown.  The mirrored furniture echoes the luxe vibe.  Countless white accessories break up the color combination.  I love the modish crystal chandelier.

Soft yellow is cheery and inviting.  Yellow can be successfully combined with almost any color.  However, blue is it's most frequent companion.

Bold shades of purple create a dynamic regal mood in this bedroom.  A crisp white ceiling provides relief from the varying shades of purple and gives the eye a place to rest.  Rich and dramatic, purple is associated with creativity and luxury.

Green is one of the most popular decorating colors today, largely because of the wide range of emotions its various shades evoke.  It's easy on the eyes and calming, which makes it a favorite for bedrooms.  Reminiscent of nature, green is serene and calming.  In this bedroom fairisles mix with boiled wools and knits to provide warmth and texture.  The soft textures, along with the roaring fire, create a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Red is bold, vibrant and energetic.  It's best used in small doses or as an accent color, as seen in this bedroom.  The draped four-poster bed has been given a regal look with a smart, tailored canopy and curtains.  The red trim and stripes compliment the stunning floral quilt.

Orange evokes excitement, enthusiasm and energy.  In this bedroom, the headboard has been kept low to showcase the wallpapered accent wall.  The chunky knit pillows and blanket add warmth and texture.  This room would fit perfectly in a mountain retreat.  Otherwise, it appears too seasonal to me.  What do you think?

Typically blue creates a soothing and calm mood.  However, smothered in teal, this bedroom is vibrant and lively.  A variety of patterns from stripes to florals collide in an energetic mix.  The look is fun and hip.
