Seeing Red.... The Color Red.

There's something exhilarating about walking into a room where this vivid hue has been incorporated.  Whether it’s used to arouse the senses or envelope visitors in warmth, red is a favorite color choice among designers.  Full of drama and passion, designers deploy the use of red to make a statement.  Even if only used in a handful of accessories, it enlivens a room.

In Kit and Tim Kemp's London Townhouse (via Elle Decor) pattern upon pattern stylishly comingles.  Red is exciting and uberglamorous.  The layered effect is interesting and current.

In the Kemp's living room, a plethora of patterns continue to unfold.  Red is discovered throughout the room, exuding warmth and friendliness.

In Kathy Ireland's Ojai home, red is bright and energetic.  It casts a warm sunny glow in the master bedroom.

I watched Sarah Richarson design this room on her show "Design Inc".  While I'm not a huge fan of the majority of her work, I thought this bedroom would be fun and cozy for a young girl.
