Decorating and Living With Sculpture.

Are you an art lover like me?  While paintings and pieces of art add character to a decor, sculptures, whether in stone, wood, metal, or even clay, have a special place, at times becoming the focal point of a room.

I'm uncertain what these faceted monochromatic nuggets are made of, but they certainly draw your eye to the corner of the room.  A tall wicker chair in the opposite corner, balances the arrangement.  It adds a unique sculptural presence which wouldn't be for everyone.  Do you find it alluring and eye-catching or a waste of space?  I like art that makes sense and isn't too whacky!

A vintage bicycle is sculpturally mounted above the fireplace to create a one-of-a-kind focal point in the room.  The black lines of the piece stand out against the crisp white walls.

A unique linear metal sculpture is mounted on a tall mirrored base on the right side of the room, adding energy and glamour.  The contemporary piece of art melds into the eclectic room filled with a variety of textures and styles.

Ornaments dangle from a whimsical white tree sculpture standing in the room.  The nature inspired piece was included to possibly bring the outdoors in?  Despite it's size, the sculpture's color allows it to blend into it's surroundings and not demand too much attention.

Floating black orbs hang from the ceiling creating a unique sculptural presence.

A life size slice of a car looms overhead in this minimalistic kitchen.  It certainly makes a dramatic statement!  It might make sense if the kitchen was part of an auto body shop, but not if it were in someone's home.
