Animal Heads And Antlers.

Are you on the hunt for the perfect animal head or set of antlers?  Animal prints and skins are always in, but apparently animal heads are the accessory de jour.  If you find the idea of a real animal head disturbing, there are many faux versions that are just as chic.  Whether real or fake, animal heads add a rustic exotic sensibility to any interior.  Here are a few alluring images for inspiration...

The bold zebra head mimics the dynamic color scheme used throught the room.  An animal skin bench picks up the exotic theme.

A bit more demure, this animal head mixes harmoniously with the room's decor.  I love the tufted sofas that define the seating area.

A menagerie of horns, along with a fox head, hang in this entryway.  They've been successfully put to use.

Horns and an animal head are juxtaposed with slick white modern chairs in this rustic dining room.

A white faux animal head pops off the black wall.  Rustic meets modern in the dining room outfitted with a wood table and acrylic chairs.  I love the wood ceiling.

A grand set of antlers above a stone fireplace looks chic, especially when contrasted with mid-century modern furniture and lighting.

A black set of antlers adds interest and texture to the ebony wall.  It compensates for the absence of a headboard or bedframe.

For moral reasons, many people prefer faux animal heads (skins and accessories).  This set of animal heads adds another level of interest to the rustic exotic decor.
