Rooms From The Runway.

The fact that interior design often takes it's inspiration from the runway isn't a new concept.  However, what I found intriguing about these photos wasn't merely the stunning clothes, but that the interiors were drop dead gorgeous!  In addition, the feel and vibe of each runway look was so impeccably captured in the corresponding interior spaces.

 The Chloe Spring 2010 Collection contained dreamy pieces in fresh whites and creams that billowed loosely from the body.  The bedroom sanctuary had the same sense of etheral modern relaxation. The neutral textures in this peaceful spare bedroom, designed by Kara Mann, mimic those of the Chloe look.

This well put-together tailored ensemble from the Devi Kroell's Fall 2009 Collection has simple classic lines in a monochromatic palette.  Grey, black and a touch of indigo makes for a very rich and sophisticated color scheme.  This luxurious living room layers beautiful greys with touches of black and indigo blue throw pillows that heighten the interest and depth.

The crisp white outfit from L'Wren Scott's Spring Collection is clean, fresh and simple.  What keeps the outfit from becoming too boring is the bold ruffled chartreuse top. White unifies this modern living room, designed by Simon Watson, while various textures add interest.  A shot of chartreuse green and fresh flowers enliven the space and add the finishing touch.

From Celine's 2010 Spring Collection, this look consists of layers of neutral leathers, suedes and chiffon.  Layering neutrals in different textures and tones creates a soothing aesthetic.  Various wood tones, leather chairs and neutral accessories beautifully coexist in this dining room.  Shape and texture are able to stand out unobstructed by obtrusive colors. 

This luxurious outfit from the Carlos Miele Fall 2009 Collection is simple, chic and the perfect mix of masculine and feminine.  The rich, silky indigo blue dress is paired with a warm grey ruffled leather jacket.  The transitional dining room, designed by Sherrill Canet, uses the same color palette in a modern fresh way.  Crisp white walls allow the lines of the chairs and the artwork to pop.  Both styles are rich and sophisticated with a bid of an edge.

The color palette used in this outfit from Aquascutum's Fall Collection is the inspiration for this beachy living room.  Despite the fact that the model is all bundled up for cold weather, the room feels casual, warm and friendly.  The space is ready to be enjoyed in warmer weather.  I love the mix of natural textures. 

The same outfit could have been used as the inspiration for Kate Spade's bedroom.  An eclectic mix of styles and textures were used to create this chic sophisticated space.  The shot of vibrant yellow on the headboard energizes the room in the same way the sunny yellow top energizes the runway look.
