Cool Luxurious Marble in the Bathroom.

What could be more chic than the abundant use of marble?

Introduce decadence to your bathroom with a marble floor, backsplash, vanity counter or shower.  Honed marble gives a classic, almost antique look, while polished marble looks fresh and modern. Eliminate the visual clutter of tile and grout lines with a slab. Whichever finish or size you choose, marble always heightens the stylish and luxurious feel of a bathroom

This luxe bath takes full advantage of head to toe dramatic, cool, glamorous marble.  The runway look is from Brian Reyes, which clearly takes its inspiration from the natural pattern of marble.

This marble bathroom, with granite vanity counter, is at the Sorrento at the Fontainebleau/15.  The striking black counter, vanity and horizontal stripes add a masculine touch.

This sumptuous shower is covered in marble subway tiles, which alters the veining and gives it a fresh modern look.  I love the tiled ceiling and bench in this spacious shower.  The stone floor provides a rustic counterpoint and allows for more grip.

In this luxurious bathroom suite, the gray veined marble adds visual interest without being too busy.  The mosaic stone floor beautifully complements the marble wainscoting while providing relief.  The polished nickel faucets are simple and elegant and, along with the sconce, add period detailing.

Why tile up a wall when you could just use one huge piece of white carrara marble?  And, what could be more opulant than those enormous white polished stone tiles on the floor?

Charm and elegance can be seen in the slightest details of this bathroom at the Hotel de Crillon in Paris.  From the tub apron to the counter and heated floor then followed through on the entire walls, there is hardly a surface that isn't covered in marble, or stone of one sort or another.  The Italian marble, in grey and pink tones, is also used in a separate shower.
