Are You Ready For Easter?

Even though it's later than usual, Easter crept up on me this year.  For kids it means decorating and hunting for eggs... and devouring candy.  For adults it means decorating the house, hiding eggs and baskets, then preparing for dinner.  If you're like me and have procrastinated your preparations, here are some inspiring ideas... 

There's no better way to decorate for the Easter season than with fresh flowers.  The mixture of daffodils and tulips brings the outside in and promotes a feeling of joyfulness.  Vibrantly colored springtime blossoms enliven the room.  I love that the container, reminiscent of a nest, is as gorgeous as the flowers.

Eggs represent life - a new beginning and the promise of hope. Some believe that as long as eggs are decorated, goodness shall prevail throughout the world.  There are an endless number of crafts utilizing eggs but this has to be one of the most simple and beautiful. Hollowed eggs have been dyed and filled with colored wax to create pastel tea light candles.

Give your tabletop a fun fresh look with bunny inspired napkins.  It adds a little spark to the table.

For pure cheerfulness, it's hard to beat a container of daffodils.  They're so charming in this simple brown bag.

Decorating Easter eggs is a fun tradition, but one I'm avoiding this year.  The vibrantly colored plastic eggs filled with candy will have to do.  I'm sure noone will complain!  Can you believe these eggs have actually been cross-stitched?
