Gorgeous Rooms With Gorgeous Fireplaces.

Fireplaces can be found in just about any room in the house.  My favorite spot for a fireplace is the bedroom!  Almost always the focal point, fireplaces create an undeniable ambience.  They bring warmth and friendliness to a space.  Fireplaces can be made to match any decor or style.  Here are a few examples...

This room oozes personality and style. This room is a beguiling mix of old world and modern elements.  Traditional carved french chairs, an antique mirrored screen and dark hardwood floors are juxtaposed with a clean lined modern fireplace.  I love the abundance of mirrors.  The layering effect of mirror on top of mirror creates amazing depth.

This fireplace has been constructed of concrete and a reclaimed wood mantel.  Rich earth toned textural fabrics create warmth and friendliness.  Light floods in through a wall of french doors.

In this almost all-white living room, a curvaceous limestone fireplace takes center stage.  The symmetrical decor surrounding it adds a touch of formality.  The assortment of seating includes three chairs and a settee, each with it's own personality.

This stunning contemporary clean-lined fireplace is perfectly at home amongst mid-century modern furniture.  It creates an eye-catching focal point.  With a plethora of textures including steel, glass, leather, textural fabrics and a hooked rug, the space delights the senses.  And, is that ebony wide plank flooring?  The room couldn't get any better!

The title of the article was "Simple and Elaborate".  That about says it all! I love the stark concrete (possibly limestone?) fireplace resting on the polished concrete floor.  The acrylic coffee table, with it's simple curves, is barely visible.  The plush settee adds essential softness and color to the mix.

Along with the wood ceiling and coffee table, the fireplace adds warmth to the neutral contemporary living room.  However, I'm confused as to why the sofa is facing away from it.  Could there possibly be another sofa directly opposite, facing the fireplace?

Constructed of concrete and reclaimed wood, this fireplace has been placed on a crisp white wall with the characteristic mirror centered above.  Leather club chairs are perfectly situated next to the fireplace for reading and relaxing.  Here's proof that a fireplace doesn't need to be grandiose and ornate to have an impact.  In it's simplest forms it still draws people in and entices them to stay and relax.

This ornately detailed fireplace appears to be limestone.  The restrained color palette keeps the room serene while the abundance of curves and details bring romance and femininity.

This elegant living room is warm and inviting.  The symmetrical wing back chairs flanking the limetone fireplace add formality while the iron coffee table brings strength to the setting.  The fireplace has been asymmetrically adorned with objets d'art.  I love the wood beams visible in the adjoining room.
