Gorgeous Entryways.

Your entryway is the first glimpse and the last impression your guests have of your home.  Because first impressions stick it's important to set an elegant and welcoming tone.  It's also important to make it functional.  Including storage areas for keys, shoes, coats, and mail should be considered.  Entryways come in all sizes and styles, yet all welcome guests and residents.  Here are a few gorgeous entryways....
Light streams in through the stunning black doors into the crisp white entryway.  A sculptural table takes center stage to hold miscellaneous items.  The rug and lantern add warmth and rustic charm.

Dark wood floors contrast beautifully against crisp white walls.  A beguiling and eclectic mix of styles merge with such elements as traditional architecture and a crystal chandelier, a contemporary acrylic table and an ethnic rug.  Glass doors open the space to the outside.

I love the turquoise door floating in the middle of a glass paned wall of windows.  A unique chandelier, traditional rug and french curvaceous mirror and side table coexist in a delightful composition.  The vibe is happy, current and exciting. Full of style, yet completely functional.

Another jaw-dropping gorgeous mix of styles!  Traditional "bones" including molding, architecture and wood plank flooring come together with modern art and a european settee in a simple and serene way.

In this quaint rural entryway, walls have been painted a crisp glossy white.  It creates an updated homespun aesthetic.

In this limited colored entryway, the bright turquoise chair adds a pop of color and adds that element of surprise.  The owl sculpture, fun light fixtures and contemporary art create an upbeat hip atmosphere.  The dark wood side table appears to float in the almost all-white space.  The ebony doors create a focal point.

Dutch doors were invented in the Netherlands and were used in farmhouses as a way to let air and light flow through the house.  I'm certain that there won't be any farm animals vying to get into this house, but it adds a homelike rural charm to the space.  Contrasted with a white tiled floor is creates country elgance at it's best.

This entryway sets an elegant tone for the rest of the home.  Painted a soft robin's egg blue, it is serene and captivating.  The wingback chair looks sculptural standing on the white tiled floor.  The vast round table grounds the space.  Fresh flowers are always such a nice touch and bring a space to life.

This entryway is small in size, but big on style.  Dressed in white, the round mirror and Saarinen table contrast with the linear lines of the wainscoting and tile.  A shot of hot pink and a wood banister heighten the interest and lead the eye up the stairs.
