The design of your office can have an effect on whether or not you succeed. It's true! Our environment affects the way we work. In any of these office you're sure to succeed.
Designer Michelle Smith, the creator and muse for Milly, has an office in her loft studio in Manhattan's garment district. It's sophisticated, yet whimsical. Tailored, yet chic. A clear glass desk, Lucite chairs, white walls and a Sputnik chandelier help keep the palette neutral and the vibe spare. There are exuberant dashes of color everywhere.
Even with a low-key minimalist edge, the space remains glamorous.
A wall of books provides a studious backdrop in this office. The "How To Marry A Millionaire" Rush Side Chair is one of Designer Peter Dunham's most popular and well known designs. It is a replica of one bought at auction, seen in a Marilyn Monroe movie, and attributed to T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings.
A neutral color palette gives the room a natural, sophisticated air.
A classic sawhorse desk takes center stage in Nate Berkus’ gorgeous office. The glass top desk almost visually disappears. The neutral color palette offers carte blanche for eclectic décor and furniture.
Mary McDonald's uber glamorous office is filled with a huge white vintage desk, Tiffany blue walls and strong black accents. It's a little too over-the-top and theatrical for me, but I know many who were swooning over it when it first appeared in Domino magazine.
