About

Growing up in Santa Monica one of my favorite childhood memories was spending time with my Grandfather in his detached garage/workroom.  He was a sign painter by trade and painted for MGM Studios.  His space was filled with paints and brushes. I never visited without a creative project ensuing. I guess that’s where my lifelong passion for art, color and design began. As a child I collected paint chips which I arranged on mock floor plans. I’ve spent my life studying and pursuing all things design related including interior design, art, all kinds of painting, fashion, and countless other design related hobbies. Design isn’t merely a pastime or hobby, but something I pursue with great zeal and fervor.

In 2005 Frog Hill Designs was created. My favorite project to date is our current home on Lake Sammamish, Washington. It took several years and continued through the birth of our last two childrenDuring the process, I collected unique and beautiful things to be used in the construction such as a beautiful marble sink and antique brass faucet, antique crystal chandeliers that needed to be rewired, an antique door and two triple paned windows from a Texas church.
I created several oil paintings for our new home. Years later I began painting on prewashed Belgian linen, a fabric I love for its’ texture, versatility and ease of care. Many of Frog Hill Design's products are the result of creating beautiful things for beautiful people.

I love to share my passion for design with others and through this blog (froghilldesigns.blogspot.com) will hopefully inspire others and provide useful ideas to help make their surroundings more beautiful.
